Attorney Michael Murray recovered full payment for a drone supplier against a former reseller out of Australia. Lanak & Hanna’s client designated a new partner as the exclusive seller of the client’s drones in Australia, but the relationship quickly soured when the partner failed to pay for the drones provided by the client. That is when they turned to Mr. Murray to get their money. By filing a lawsuit on behalf of the client and utilizing the Hague Convention for international service, Mr. Murray was able to sue and serve the Australian partner with the client’s lawsuit, subjecting them to the jurisdiction of the California Courts. When the Australian partner refused to accept responsibility and pay for the drones, Mr. Murray filed a Right to Attach Order, ultimately forcing the former Australian partner to pay the client in full.
