Congratulations to Principal Attorney Natasha Buchanan for obtaining a complete recovery for a subcontractor client. Lanak & Hanna’s subcontractor client recorded a mechanics lien against a project when the prime contractor stopped making payments. Ms. Buchanan made demands on the owner and general contractor to pay or risk a foreclosure lawsuit. A lawsuit was filed on the nearly half a million dollar lien. After the owner disputed whether the work was actually performed on its property, Lanak & Hanna and the client undertook an exhaustive review and analysis of the project and plans to prove the work was performed on the owner’s project. The owner was forced to settle and the client was paid in full for all work performed on the project.
