Supplier client at Lanak & Hanna was waiting many years to receive payment from a contractor who had refused to even acknowledge the debt until attorneys Michael Murray and Sunny Lee filed a lawsuit on the client’s behalf. Though the contractor had been giving the client baseless reasons and defenses as to why the debt was not owed, the contractor swiftly admitted that the debt was owed within weeks of receiving the lawsuit. The matter was resolved between the parties by way of settlement which included the client receiving not only the full principal balance due but the costs and legal fees that the client incurred as a result of filing the lawsuit.
