Attorney Lauren Stec obtained a complete dismissal in favor of her homeowner client who was being sued for Foreclosure of Mechanics Lien.
Ms. Stec’s client is a homeowner who had solar work performed on his home. Despite the homeowner paying the contractor in full, the contractor failed to pay the supplier. The supplier filed a mechanics lien against the homeowner’s property and foreclosed on that mechanics lien by filing a lawsuit. Ms. Stec found numerous defects in the mechanics lien and the lawsuit including that they were filed in the wrong county.
After Ms. Stec writing a demand letter setting forth the defects, the supplier agreed to release the mechanics lien and dismiss the lawsuit.
